Suffolk County Council is seeking a Fire ICT Engineer to join our Fire ICT Team.

From advanced communication systems and a state‑of‑the‑art Fire Control suite to data and asset management, logistics and the always‑on critical operational systems our teams rely on every day, ICT is the backbone of the Service, supporting every function that enables us to keep the people of Suffolk safe.
Responsibilities
* Maintain specialised systems such as radio communications, telephony (including Integrated Communication Control System), and emergency alerting platforms.
* Provide technical support for IT infrastructure, networking, systems, and data centre technologies, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring.
* Participate in ICT projects and, following training, join the on‑call rota to support critical systems out of hours.
* Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with ICT policies and regulations.
* Respond to ITSM tickets daily, resolve issues where possible and escalating with full details to senior engineers, Fire ICT Managers or third parties.
