2D Graphic Designer (Midweight)

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Competitive Salary + Benefits

A little about us…

Bray Leino Events is the home of brand experience.

We create high-impact events, exhibitions, and activations for leading brands and public sector organisations. Our 200+ creatives, strategists, designers, digital specialists, marketers, event producers, and delivery experts provide global solutions from offices across the UK, Europe, Asia, the US, and the Middle East.

Every year, we bring hundreds of brand experiences to life. We imagine differently to make the extraordinary happen.

About the Role...

Are you a 2D designer with a strong conceptual portfolio? If you're looking to work on high-profile events that tackle complex briefs, deliver unforgettable messages, and make global headlines—this opportunity is made for you.

We’re looking for a creatively minded 2D Designer to bring ideas to life across a wide range of live event projects – from early pitch visuals through to final production.

You’ll be hands-on with a huge variety of formats and channels – spanning digital, print, and experiential – and we’ll be looking to you for ideas that feel fresh, considered, and full of purpose.

As a midweight, you’ll report directly to the Design Director, working closely with our wider creative and event delivery teams to craft visuals that truly connect in a 3D live environment.

This is a 2D design role, but you’ll also be collaborating regularly with our 3D team, creative artworkers, and project managers to help shape bold, cohesive event experiences.

Experience in exhibitions or live events is a real plus – but if you’ve got the right mindset and a strong portfolio, we’re all ears.

What you’ll be doing:

* Interpreting briefs and turning them into smart, engaging visual concepts
* Designing for both print and digital, using Adobe Creative Suite
* Collaborating with internal teams and clients to refine and evolve your ideas
* Presenting your creative thinking with clarity and confidence
* Staying sharp on trends, tools, and creative best practice

Typical day-to-day:

* Laying out design work for event graphics, presentations, and digital assets
* Prepping artwork for print and screen use when needed
* Developing mood boards, concepts, and campaign look-and-feels
* Creating assets that bring stories to life across websites, spaces, and comms
* Keeping everything aligned to brand guidelines and project objectives

About you…

You’ve got a sharp eye for layout, type, and the details that make design sing. Visual storytelling is second nature, and you know how to make an idea land across a range of formats – from print to digital and everything in between.

You’re confident with Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat – and you know how to use these tools to bring ideas to life with clarity and impact.

You’re just as comfortable cracking on solo as you are working closely with others. You’ve got a calm, thoughtful way of communicating and a collaborative spirit that makes working with you easy.

You ask the right questions, spot the details others might miss, and don’t wait around to be told what to do next. You’re curious, solutions-focused, and genuinely enjoy turning a good brief into great work.

A graphic design degree or equivalent is useful, but not essential. What really matters is solid experience in a similar role, a strong portfolio that shows your thinking as well as your craft – and a clear understanding of what it means to be part of a busy, ideas-driven creative team.

You’re comfortable contributing your perspective – and open to hearing others’ too. You’re also open to feedback and focused on making the work better, not just defending what’s already there. Like us, you take pride in the details, and satisfaction in a job well done.

What we offer:

For starters, you get 25 days holiday, which goes up to 29 after 2 years. There’s a company pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, and an extensive employee discount scheme that will save you money on everything from gym memberships to eating out.

We play hard. We throw awesome seasonal staff socials, finish early on Fridays in the summer, and we close every year between Christmas and New Year.

We’ll look out for your wellbeing. There’s a medical plan that pays cashback on your dental treatment, glasses, physio and things like that; plus, it features an employee assist programme with a 24hr GP hotline and wellbeing support service. And if you refer a friend to come and work for us, we’ll pay you a finder’s fee.

The serious stuff:

We take the serious stuff seriously. You’ll be given access to the learning and development you need to grow and progress. And we have clear codes of conduct and policies on issues like equality, diversity & inclusion, and sustainability. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

We are also proud to be a Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) Employer. As a Disability Confident Committed Employer we have committed to; ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, communicating and promoting vacancies, offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job and anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required. If you have a view or an idea, we’ll want you to be involved in helping us always be better.
