GSL Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools across Shoreham. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a classroom environment. Working one-to-one or in small groups, you will encourage engagement, promote independence, and create a safe, inclusive learning space where every child feels valued. SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEN in line with their individual learning plans. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to different learning needs. Encourage positive behaviour and promote confidence in pupils. Provide both academic and social-emotional support. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside professionals. Maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Requirements: CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential). Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly valued. Compassion, patience, and resilience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
