Overview
English Teacher - Birmingham. Position: English Teacher. Location: Birmingham. Start Date: March 2026. Contract: Long-term assignment. Pay: £175 - £250 per day (paid to scale, dependent on experience).
Responsibilities
* Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering purposeful lessons that strengthen analytical writing, reading comprehension and exam technique.
* Full teaching role with responsibility for planning, marking and assessment.
* You’ll use data to track progress, implement targeted intervention and contribute to improving GCSE outcomes across mixed-ability classes.
Qualifications
* You must hold QTS and have secure subject knowledge across the English curriculum.
* Strong classroom management, high expectations and the ability to engage learners at all attainment levels.
* Experience preparing students for GCSE exams and familiarity with assessment objectives is essential.
