A welcoming primary school in Salford is seeking an experienced and confident Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has proven experience supporting children with additional needs and is looking for a role where their skills in positive behaviour management will be highly valued. The successful candidate will be providing a mixture of 1:1 and small group support, helping children to access learning and regulate their emotions in line with their individual needs.
Responsibilities
* Supporting children with a range of additional needs in a primary setting
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils who may display challenging behaviour
* Using Team Teach strategies to de-escalate and manage behaviour positively
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
* Supporting emotional regulation, social interaction and independence skills
* Working collaboratively with SEN staff, teachers and parents to ensure progress
Requirements
* Team Teach training (essential) - must be current and valid
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural needs
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, resilient approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A nurturing and patient personality with a passion for supporting young learners
