Senior Early Years Officer Haringey36 hours per weekInitial 3-month contract£27.27 per hour (Umbrella) / £19.95 per hour (PAYE) About the Role Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Early Years Officer to support the operational and day-to-day management of childcare provision within our Children’s Centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality early education and childcare, ensuring inclusive, reflective, and outstanding practice in line with EYFS requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the operational management of the Early Years provisionLead on high-quality EYFS curriculum planning and deliverySupport children with SEND, including involvement in assessments and EHCP planningContribute to safeguarding, child protection, and welfare proceduresMonitor, assess and review children’s development and progressSupport and supervise staff, including mentoring and training deliveryLiaise with parents, carers, and external professionalsContribute to Ofsted readiness and inspection processesSupport student placements and partnership working with training providersPromote parental engagement and inclusive practiceAbout You We are looking for someone who has:A recognised Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)Strong working knowledge of EYFS, SEND and child developmentExperience supporting children with additional needsExperience within an integrated Early Years settingKnowledge of safeguarding and child protection proceduresExperience supporting or supervising staffUnderstanding of Ofsted standards and inspectionsGood IT skills and report
