Overview of the role
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Territory Manager in JCB UK Sales, covering Central and Southern England, South Wales and Southern Ireland. This role carries responsibility for our World-renowned Mid-Range products including the Backhoe Loader, Telescopic Handler, Site Dumper and Rough Terrain Forklift ranges as part of a strong and highly motivated team.
Your Responsibilities as a Territory Manager
1. Sales Management – Setting of SMART product sales targets and the reporting and measurement of these through systems including Salesforce and SAP.
2. Product Management – To work alongside internal product and supply teams to deliver monthly retail targets.
3. Business Development – Identify market opportunities for key products and implement sales initiatives to deliver growth.
4. Relationship Management – Develop key relationships with dealer sales teams, along with internal JCB personnel including the UK Sales and Marketing team.
5. Problem Solving – Identify potential issues that may affect future sales, and oversee the implementation of effective solutions.
6. Change management – Support in the implementation of new CRM systems for both JCB and Dealer sales teams.
7. New product implementation – Supporting new product introduction into the market and supporting business case development for future product opportunities.
About you
The successful applicant will bring strong product knowledge, a well-rounded commercial understanding and a customer first attitude. You will have an appreciation of the market JCB operates in and associated industry knowledge, with an understanding of typical construction and industrial applications.
Experience of selling to end users directly, or indirectly via a dedicated dealer network is desirable, alongside being able to demonstrate the ability to handle commercial negotiations to help in delivering monthly sales forecasts.
Importantly, you should be highly self-motivated with a confident manner. The role requires you to demonstrate credibility when communicating at all levels within JCB, with JCB dealers and with our customers business.
