What we're looking for:
* At least 6 months of experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* A positive and proactive approach to supporting students, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your calm demeanour and ability to build rapport will be key.
* A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle due to the rural locaion of the school
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development and well-being of young people.
In this role, you will:
* Provide direct support to students in the classroom and during various activities, both academic and recreational.
* Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Help to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach.
* Contribute to the individual progress and well-being of our students.
* Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
