This freelance position suits experienced residential surveyors completing damp and mould inspections, housing condition surveys and building pathology assessments across housing portfolios. Flexible working arrangements and immediate opportunities are available. Role & Responsibilities Complete damp and mould inspections across occupied properties Inspect walls, ceilings, floors and roof spaces Identify condensation, leaks and rising damp issues Capture moisture readings and photographic evidence Produce reports using dedicated survey software Assess ventilation and insulation related defects Categorise hazards using HHSRS guidance Identify tenant safety or indoor air quality concerns Manage daily survey appointments independently Maintain accurate inspection records throughout Skills & Experience Required Experience completing residential damp and mould surveys PCA accreditation or RICS accredited qualification essential Knowledge of residential building pathology and ventilation issues Ability to produce detailed inspection reports accurately Experience using moisture testing and survey software Strong communication skills with residents and teams Understanding of housing condition inspections and defects Organised approach managing multiple inspections daily Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Experience within occupied residential properties preferred Salary & Benefits Flexible freelance working arrangements Paid per survey or day rate options Immediate contract opportunities available Dedicated reporting software provided Ongoing residential inspection work available About Hunter Dunning Hunter Dunning is a specialist property and built environment recruitment consultancy established in 2004, focused on quality and long-term partnerships in the UK and Ireland property and construction market.
