Graduate Sustainability Analyst Teesport Permanent Provide support to the business relating to sustainability, including pellet (and future chip) fuel supply sourcing, plant emissions, waste and by-products management and other regulatory related reporting. In addition, the role will undertake projects across other departments to further their knowledge and development within the company. Responsibilities Reporting Lead preparation, consolidation and reporting of the following data for the plant on a monthly and annual basis by liaising with the O&M operator, fuel supplier and other third parties: Fuel measurement and sampling data and Annual Compliance Reporting for the Contract for Difference with LCCC. RQM monthly calculation and reconciliation with LCCC statements. ESG reporting for shareholders as defined for Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting. Use of other consumables and utilities such as sand, fuel oil, ammonia, nitrogen, water, auxiliary load. Waste and byproducts including bottom ash, fly ash, water, sewage, hazardous waste disposal. Develop, track biodiversity reporting needs and improvements for the plant. Fuel management Liaise with fuel sampling agency to ensure compliance with fuel specification and ship inspection needs. Maintain and monitor a log of fuel quality to aid optimisation process. Audit and Compliance Maintain Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) certification including coordinating annual audit. Manage third party audit for CfD Annual Compliance Report. Stay up to date on any relevant regulatory changes and press that may apply to the business and its sustainability reporting obligations (LCCC, Ofgem, Government Reports, NGO reports). Development Projects Identify and develop projects around tracking, reporting and improving sustainability management in the company (such as metering improvements, reporting tools, etc). The role is expected to undertake specific project work with other departments to broaden the candidate’s knowledge of the business and activities. This may include for example finance, operations, commercial, construction activities. Other Support risk management for environmental and sustainability activities. Any other general tasks required to support Business as reasonably requested by management. Skills MS office applications, particularly MS Excel.
