Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing treatment protocols in various healthcare settings.
Duties
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document medical histories.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
* Perform various nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
* Assist with triage in emergency situations and provide acute pain management as needed.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Skills
Candidates should possess a variety of skills relevant to the role of Registered Nurse, including but not limited to:
* Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
* Experience with critical care settings, including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
* Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Competency in performing diagnostic evaluations, physical examinations, and specimen collection/processing.
* Ability to provide specialized care such as dialysis, ostomy care, or hospice & palliative medicine.
* Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, airway management, and basic life support (BLS).
