Overview

Senior Lecturer in Law (Teaching and Research) – Full Time, Permanent. Based in Egham, Surrey, within the Department of Law and Criminology, School of Law and Social Sciences.

The Department is forward thinking, interdisciplinary and research active, offering undergraduate and masters programmes and hosting a vibrant research community. The post seeks an outstanding teacher and researcher to contribute to our research priorities in alignment with the University’s values and research themes. The role involves teaching undergraduate core subjects on our LLB Course; expertise in related areas is desirable, but not required.


Responsibilities

* Teach undergraduate core subjects on the LLB Course; contribute to teaching quality and the student experience.
* Engage in research activities aligned with the Department’s priorities and the University’s research themes.
* Demonstrate academic leadership and contribute to programme or department administration or projects that enhance the student experience.


Qualifications

* Expertise in areas such as Land Law, Tort Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law and Law of Evidence is desirable, but not required.
* Ability to teach a broad range of skills needed to teach effectively.
* Proven ability to contribute to research and to work within a multidisciplinary team.


Salary and Benefits

* Salary £60,815 to £70,058 per annum - including London Allowance.

Location

Egham, Surrey. The University is on a leafy campus near Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
