The post holder will assist senior staff and clinicians with the provision of individualised nursing care in an outpatient oncology clinic setting.
You will need to be flexible across the service, supporting the team in achieving outpatient/cancer care objectives while also providing support to relatives and carers. You should be willing to undertake training for skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, or recording ECGs if you do not already possess them.

* Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times.
* Assist with the delivery of individual programmes of care under the supervision of senior staff, undertaking delegated duties.
* Communicate relevant information concerning patient needs and care to appropriate senior staff.
* Contribute to effective communication within the department by assisting with administrative duties.
* Work with colleagues to promote a conducive environment by assisting in infection control and adhering to current practices and policies.
* Support the development of the department’s philosophy, nursing model, and ward objectives.
* Develop clinical expertise and continually improve standards of nursing practice, maintaining good working relationships with staff.
* Liaise and communicate relevant information to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Assist in creating a therapeutic and compassionate environment that meets patients' needs.
* Comply with operational, personnel, health & safety policies, procedures, and protocols relevant to the post.
