Wood is currently recruiting Construction & Commissioning Manager (CCM) to provide strategic and proactive leadership and management for the Construction and commissioning teams. The CCM will join our Systems Integration team for Europe Middle East and Africa (SI EMEA) within our Digital Consulting business. The role can be based at any of the following UK offices; Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of regular travel to sites and offices across the UK and in the future EMEA region. LI-Hybrid The Role This Construction & Commissioning Manager will drive performance and delivery excellence through the strategic management of the Construction and Commissioning function within the SI EMEA business group. As an experienced Construction & Commissioning Manager, you will support and assure delivery excellence across all Construction and Commissioning requirements and will lead by example, consistently displaying and enforcing the Company’s values and behaviours, role modelling commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour and creating an inclusive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for functional management and development of resources and governance of discipline practices and procedures. Provide leadership to Lead/Principal personnel and have functional oversight of the performance of all relevant construction and commissioning for SI EMEA. Expected: Typically, minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience Previous experience in managing a team of construction and commissioning personnel Appropriate level of field construction experience Exposure to working within a technical environment Experience of people management in a construction context Good standard of general computer literacy Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business internal and external Leads on recruitment and selection and sets tone for culture within team: significantly impacts on performance, engagement, productivity and retention of construction and commissioning resources Excellent written and verbal communication skills
