Job Role
* Experience in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools
* In-depth knowledge of Injection mould tooling & Fault diagnosis
* Experience of Hot Runner systems would be beneficial
* Experience with standard toolroom equipment, milling, turning, grinding. Spark erosion/EDM not essential but beneficial
* Experience designing and/or manufacturing injection mould tooling would be beneficial but not essential
* Experience of CAD/CAM would be beneficial, training can be offered
* A "can do" attitude, with the ability to adhere to high quality standards and prioritise the workload
Responsibilities
* Responsible for working to HSER standards through the use of all Leadership in action tools.
* Responsible for meeting all legislative Health and Safety standards.
* Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as international standards and regulatory requirements.
* Managing improvement projects related to quality, safety, environmental and energy saving aspects.
* Aiding in non-conformity investigations.
* Knowledge of measurement
* Understanding of engineering drawings
* Understanding manufacturing processes
* Identifying possible areas for improvement in production & quality processes.
* Ensuring production is not hindered by planned maintenance
* Provide support and guidance to the production team, in relation to mould tool upkeep.
* Creating route cause analysis reports, identifying failure modes and solutions to prevent reoccurrence
* Producing jigs and fixtures required for the business.
* Stock management of consumable items to ensure as little downtime as possible in production
* Liaising with external mould makers, in terms of repairs, improvements we are unable to undertake in house.
* Managing mould tool servicing schedules
Education
* GCSE Level A-C, BTec first certificate or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification
* Mechanical engineering qualification or toolmaker apprenticeship or equivalent
* Working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft office suite, 3d CAD systems, CNC programming (prototrak), lotus notes etc.
