Your new role
This full-time, temporary caretaker position will involve a wide range of site and maintenance duties, including:
1. Carrying out cleaning tasks across the school site
2. Maintaining locks, security systems, and fire doors
3. Supporting with basic grounds maintenance
4. Moving and setting up equipment and furniture as required
5. Keyholder duties, including building security
6. Ensuring the school environment is safe and well-maintained for all staff, students, and visitors
7. Applicants with recognised qualifications or substantial experience in a suitable trade are strongly encouraged to apply.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will:
8. Be able to work effectively on their own initiative
9. Demonstrate strongmunication skills
10. Have practical maintenance abilities
11. Bring previous maintenance or general handyperson experience (ideal)
12. Hold Legionella training (desirable)
13. Have a joinery or wider maintenance background (desirable)
14. Be proactive and reliable in their approach to work
This is a temporary role. We will require references covering at least the last two years, and you must be willing to undergo a DBS check if you do not already hold one registered on the Update Service.
