Overview
Intervention Teaching Assistant – Location: Wakefield. Contract: Full-time, Long-term.
The Role
* Deliver targeted intervention sessions, both 1:1 and in small groups, to raise attainment in core subjects.
* Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SEN/EAL teams to identify learning gaps and provide tailored support.
* Monitor and track pupil progress, feeding back to staff and contributing to intervention planning.
* Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a classroom or intervention setting.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
* Ability to motivate and inspire pupils to succeed.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualification or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
