To work as a team member within cardiac clinical physiology services, undertaking basic procedures such as recording electrocardiograms (ECGs). Assist cardiac physiologists with more complex procedures like implantable cardiac monitors, exercise tolerance testing, and tilt table testing. After appropriate training, interpret ECGs under supervision.
Support departmental administration and liaise with other professionals to ensure timely delivery of cardiac physiology procedures.
Work to standards set by the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST) and British Cardiac Society (BCS).
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking team player to record ECGs and conduct basic non-invasive cardiac investigations at the Royal Sussex County and Princess Royal Hospitals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop ECG interpretation skills and progress within the department, including further qualifications for Band 4 roles.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, be articulate, and relate confidently and compassionately to people of all ages. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
The Sussex Cardiac Centre is located in Brighton at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, part of an extensive modernisation project. The new Cardiac Diagnostics department is situated in the Louisa Martindale Building as part of this development.
