Inventory / Warehouse / Stores Technician Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing Location: Norfolk Employment Type: Full-time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week Salary: Dependent on experience We are recruiting for an Inventory / Warehouse / Stores Technician to join a manufacturing business in Norfolk. This role sits within the procurement function and focuses on day-to-day inventory control, stock accuracy, materials handling, and supporting the smooth flow of components into production. It would suit someone with experience in stock control, stores, inventory, or warehouse work within a manufacturing or engineering environment. The role is important in helping maintain accurate stock records, supporting production requirements, and ensuring materials are received, stored, issued, and tracked correctly. What you’ll be doing Carrying out regular stock counts and cycle counts Receiving, labelling, storing, and recording incoming materials Maintaining accurate stock movement records within the inventory system Investigating stock discrepancies and reporting issues Monitoring stock levels and flagging shortages or potential stockouts Supporting material handling, storage, and stock accuracy processes Assisting with kitting and preparing materials for production orders Delivering components to relevant production and engineering areas Supporting data entry, inventory updates, and general record keeping Working closely with procurement, supply chain, production, and engineering teams Helping maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment Following Health and Safety procedures and reporting any issues or hazards What we’re looking for Experience in inventory, stock control, stores, or warehouse work Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment Familiarity with inventory management systems Basic Excel and data entry skills Good attention to detail and accuracy Organised and methodical approach to work Able to work across departments and communicate clearly Comfortable handling and moving materials and components as needed Desirable HND or equivalent qualification Additional qualifications in logistics or inventory management Forklift licence Driving licence How to apply To apply, please send your CV or contact ISQ Recruitment on 01603 369 500 for more information.
