Purpose Statement: The Systems Administrator will demonstrate Plexus core values to provide service excellence and manage site computing equipment. This role supports internal users, ensuring availability of applications, systems, and network technologies to meet business needs. Collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and partners is essential to maintain secure, reliable, and sustainable solutions. The role also involves adhering to policies that align with Plexus philosophy and objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform installations, replace consumables, and verify the proper functioning of equipment, documenting all work.
2. Prioritize requirements with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and perform application maintenance following established procedures.
3. Execute routine operational procedures, including automation scripts, and respond to security support requests, assisting with access control and security issues.
4. Manage change requests by developing, documenting, and implementing changes, using appropriate tools and processes.
5. Promote innovation and knowledge sharing within teams, encouraging creative ideas and learning from failures.
6. Uphold cybersecurity policies, participate in training, protect data, identify vulnerabilities, and report suspicious activities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* Two years of relevant experience preferred
* Equivalent education and experience may be considered
Other Skills:
* Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or storage systems
* Understanding of network topology, wireless, or firewalls
* Ability to learn scripting and automation tools
* Proficiency in Google Workspace or Windows suite
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and support 24/7 operations, including after-hours support
* Experience in incident management, analysis, and reporting
Physical & Travel Requirements:
* Travel to onsite locations, including Kelso, as needed
