Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist
to join our newly formed Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) team in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. About the Role
This is a
12-month maternity cover
position, working
22.5 hours per week
, starting in January 2026. As part of our innovative MHTR service, you will play a crucial role in delivering bespoke psycho-social interventions as an alternative to custodial sentences. Your responsibilities will include: Providing clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a dedicated team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists. Collaborating closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to implement innovative approaches. Offering practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues and local agencies. Inspiring and developing your team to enhance their psychological formulation skills and trauma-informed approaches. Managing a small caseload of service users with complex needs, delivering specialist psychological assessments and therapies. Contributing to the strategic direction and development of the service, building strong professional links with other providers. Exploring ways to integrate wider issues such as housing, employment, and finances into the treatment process. The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is: Registered with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist. Holds a doctorate in your professional specialism with proven experience in delivering psychological services. Experienced in leading and supervising clinical staff, ideally with a background in substance misuse services. Possesses excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a strong commitment to the Recovery Agenda. Why Choose Turning Point?
