Senior Architectural Technician - Perth Employment Type: Fulltime, Permanent Salary: Competitive, DOE Are you an experienced Senior Architectural Technician ready to lead housing projects from design to construction? Job Summary: An established housebuilding business, based just outside of Perth is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist to join their in-house design team. This role involves leading housing projects from planning through to construction, producing accurate technical information, and ensuring all designs comply with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with architects, surveyors, engineers, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality residential projects. Key Responsibilities: Produce technical drawings, specifications, and schedules across RIBA Stages 3–6. Prepare and submit information for planning and building control approvals. Lead and manage projects through the construction phase, attending site and consultant meetings. Respond to RFIs and support design development during construction. Maintain and update detailed house type packages to ensure compliance. Provide technical support to an in-house timber frame manufacturing team. Stay up to date with UK Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and sustainability standards. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver coordinated project outcomes. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members. Requirements: HNC / HND or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field. Experience in residential development or architectural practice, ideally at an advanced level. Strong technical expertise with experience producing detailed construction packages. Excellent working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and NHBC technical standards. Proficient in AutoCAD ; experience with Revit is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently. Strong detailing, documentation, organisational, and communication skills.
