The Opportunity
We're currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our production team on a days-based shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, improving plant performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of mechanical equipment
Respond to and resolve breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance machine reliability and performance
Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
Contribute to a strong health & safety culture, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with regulationsAbout You
Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment - ex-forces encouraged to apply
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of mechanical systems such as gearboxes, pumps, bearings, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and generators
Experience working with PPM systems and maintenance planning tools
Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Strong communication and teamwork skills
