Offer description

Job: Senior Digital Marketing Manager / Director (No recruiters/agencies please)

Salary: (depending on experience)

Location: Nottingham City Centre (Plus flexibility to work from home)

We are a small, specialist, and growing digital marketing agency focused on the legal sector. We support law firms with content, SEO, PPC, website design and improvements, lead tracking, and conversion tracking.

We are looking for a senior-level digital marketer with strong agency experience to manage client delivery across content, reporting, SEO, PPC, and website updates. This role is hands-on and client-facing, suited to someone who is comfortable taking ownership and operating with minimal layers, acting as a confident day-to-day contact for clients.

You will take client meetings, manage the team, lead delivery conversations, and take responsibility for projects, tasks, reporting, and implementation. As the team grows, you will help shape processes and standards, but you must also be comfortable doing the work yourself where required. You will also be expected to make delivery and prioritisation decisions using agreed standards and commercial judgement, rather than escalating things.

Experience in professional services or law firm marketing is desirable but not essential. Training can be provided. What matters most is proven agency experience, sound judgement, and the ability to deliver high-quality work at pace while keeping clients informed and confident.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time role, 5 days per week, 9:00am to 5:00pm to cover client requests and tasks. We typically work from our Nottingham City Centre office 3 days per week, with 2 days per week working from home.

Key Responsibilities

Client Meetings and Account Delivery

* Take client meetings and act as the senior day-to-day contact
* Quote and invoice clients as required
* Lead delivery conversations and manage ongoing client communication
* Respond to client requests promptly, gathering information and moving tasks forward
* Provide clear updates on progress, priorities, timelines, and next steps
* Manage expectations and keep delivery moving without over-servicing
* Translate performance data into practical actions and recommendations

Project Ownership, Reporting, and Tracking

* Take ownership of client projects end-to-end, ensuring tasks are scoped, tracked, and delivered
* Manage delivery workflows through ClickUp or similar project management tools
* Deliver monthly reports, including gathering data, sense-checking accuracy, and turning insights into clear actions
* Ensure reporting is commercially grounded and genuinely useful to clients, with a clear link between activity, enquiries, and commercial outcomes
* Use and help setup tracking setups, including Google Analytics, WhatConverts, and similar tools.
* Be used to onboarding clients, quoting and billing for tasks.

Content, SEO, and Website Delivery

* Oversee content creation and sign off marketing content before it goes live or to clients
* Review, edit, and approve content for accuracy, tone, SEO fundamentals, and best practice
* Make hands-on SEO improvements including on-page optimisation, internal linking, and content updates
* Carry out simple website amendments or additions where required, such as page updates, website edits or additions, launch landing pages, and basic design changes
* Maintain awareness of emerging best practice, including GEO and how AI-driven search is changing visibility and discovery
* Help manage site launches, redirects, analytics setup, and meta titles
* Sign off marketing reports and manage client relationships

PPC, GEO, and Performance Marketing

* Help build and launch PPC campaigns, including simple campaign structure, keyword research, ad copy, extensions, and landing page alignment
* Carry out ongoing PPC optimisation with the team including search term analysis, negatives, advertising copy and budget management

Technical Awareness and Supplier Liaison

* Work with external suppliers such as developers, designers, and tracking partners
* Liaise on website builds, landing pages, and campaigns, ensuring delivery standards are met
* Maintain working awareness of DNS, domain management, and subdomain setup for websites and landing pages
* Spot technical, UX, or tracking issues early and push fixes through

Sales Support and Client Onboarding

* Support the sales process where needed, including scoping work and joining early-stage conversations
* Assist with onboarding new clients, ensuring tracking, reporting, and delivery are set up correctly from day one
* Help centralise processes and have good process knowledge from agency experience
* Help ensure handovers from sales to delivery are clean and well-documented

Standards and Team Growth

* Maintain consistent quality across all client outputs and protect delivery standards
* Help improve templates, workflows, and internal best practice as the agency grows
* Support and guide more junior team members where required
* Aim to free up the managing director to focus on sales and run more of the agency day to day

Required Experience and Skills

* Strong agency-side experience in digital marketing
* Background in SEO, content, PPC, and website amendments
* Proven experience managing client delivery and taking ownership of accounts
* Confident running client meetings and handling senior client communication
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and priorities
* Understands how marketing activity translates into enquiries, instructions, and commercial outcomes for law firms
* Comfortable being hands-on and happy to roll up sleeves to get work delivered, whilst we are growing
* Strong written, organisation and verbal communication skills
* Ready to take a hands on role in a small specialist agency where you will be the most senior employee and manage more junior team members
* Comfortable on LinkedIn posting about our services

Desirable

* Experience in professional services or law firm marketing campaigns
* Familiarity with call tracking, form tracking, and attribution tools
* Experience working alongside developers and external suppliers

Personal Attributes

* Calm, reliable, and commercially aware
* Takes ownership and responsibility rather than waiting for direction
* Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and solution-oriented
* Comfortable making decisions and standing behind them
* Comfortable operating in a growing agency where processes evolve and not everything is fully defined from day one
* Comfortable working in a small team with minimal layers and high responsibility
