NQA UK Regional Assessor (Aerospace)
We are looking for Aerospace Assessors from the UK.
The purpose of this role is to undertake visits to NQA clients in accordance with work schedules in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of accreditation.
For this position, you will have significant experience within the aerospace, space, or defence industry. You will also have auditing experience and a strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100. Knowledge of other ISO standards is desirable.
Assessors are professionally qualified according to NQA requirements to conduct management system visits for aerospace management systems standards.
This role requires specialised experience including technical, administrative, and customer service skills. The Aerospace Assessor must work within specific criteria and guidance provided in company documentation.
Dimensions:
There are no direct reports or budgetary responsibilities associated with this role.
Aerospace Assessors are home-based employees responsible for maintaining all supplied business equipment, including car, computer, and phone/fax.
The role may require extensive travel and overnight stays within the UK and overseas, requiring flexibility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assess client management systems for compliance with accreditation standards.
* Perform management system assessments and surveillance visits as scheduled.
* Arrange and attend client visits, providing feedback.
* Prepare and submit visit reports, including recommendations on certification issues.
* Provide professional advice to Customer Operations Staff.
* Ensure assessments and surveillance activities comply with the Management Systems Manual.
* Follow Health and Safety policies and manage risks.
* Perform other duties as assigned within competence.
Required qualifications include direct aerospace or defence industry experience, broad knowledge of third-party accreditation, AATT training, and OASIS (AS9100 minimum). An understanding of aerospace regulations and standards, auditing experience, and maintaining AEA status are also necessary.
