Software Engineer (Research, Design & Analysis)
Craigavon, Northern Ireland
Are you an innovative thinker with a passion for engineering and programming? Join a dynamic R&D team at a leading Northern Ireland technology company, where your work will help power the production of millions of high-quality products used worldwide.
As a Software Engineer (Research, Design & Analysis), you'll contribute to developing and enhancing specialist software that drives cutting-edge research and product design. Working with a small, collaborative team, you'll be hands-on with object-oriented programming (C++), developing and testing new features, performing analysis, and helping clients with complex technical challenges.
What You'll Do:
* Develop, test, and maintain advanced software solutions.
* Analyse physical products using specialist equipment.
* Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
* Write clear documentation to support ongoing software use and development.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation.
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Software or relevant.
* Strong mathematical and/or geometrical ability.
* Experience with object-oriented programming (C++, Python, or Matlab).
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Background in engineering software development.
* Experience with MySQL, AWS, or mobile application development is a bonus!
* Competitive salary (£30K-£40K) plus pension.
