Contract: Full-Time (including some weekend working)
We are seeking a passionate Animal Care Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a unique and highly supportive educational environment in Yeovil. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, including some weekend days as part of the role.
Students at this specialist provision have a range of needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate learning difficulties and Communication and interaction challenges
You will help students engage in animal care activities, supporting both their learning and personal development while promoting wellbeing through hands-on experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students during animal care sessions and practical activities

* Assist staff with daily care of animals and facilities
* Provide pastoral and behavioural support where required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
