Make a Difference in Someone’s Day Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy helping others? Join Sight Scotland as a Volunteer Befriender and help transform the life of someone living with visual impairment. We’re looking for compassionate individuals to support one of our clients for just 1–2 hours per week. You’ll assist them with their weekly shopping trip – whether that’s accompanying them in person or completing the shop on their behalf. What You’ll Do: Visit or meet a client once a week (on a weekday that suits you both) Support them with shopping tasks – either accompanying them or shopping on their behalf Offer friendly conversation and companionship What You’ll Bring: Empathy, patience, and good communication skills A willingness to make a positive difference Reliability and a friendly, approachable manner What We Offer: Full training and support from our friendly team Travel expenses reimbursed The opportunity to make a real impact in someone’s life At Sight Scotland, we believe that no one should face sight loss alone.
