Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
* Diagnose and repair faults in engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
* Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all repair activities.
* Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What we are looking for
* Experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter with strong maintenance skills.
* Ideally Level 3 in City & Guilds or IMI Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Qualified, or equivalent experience
* Computer literate: comfortable using smart devices to log and upload documentation
* Commitment to health & safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field preferred or time served experience
This is a rich and varied role, inclusive of engine rebuilds, maintenance and services, and signing vehicles off as roadworthy. You also need to log your work, digitally, on the job, as you do it.
