HHFT is fortunate to have a strong Anticoagulation, Haemostasis & Thrombosis service that is leading excellence in NHS care for the South of England. The post-holder would join an established team. The team is committed to developing individuals in the enhanced roles needed for the future of NHS care.
The post is predominantly based in an outpatient environment but will involve inpatient guidance and advice across the Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester sites.
Responsibilities
* Plan treatment for patients in response to blood results and symptoms, monitoring the effectiveness and making changes as required.
* Identify new patients requiring anticoagulation therapy, including those whose treatment was commenced in Primary Care.
* Work independently as well as part of the team, supporting the clinical lead.
* Participate in, and contribute to, the Centre’s clinical research programme.
Qualifications
* UK NMC registration.
* Minimum of 1 year post‑registration experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
* Computer literacy and knowledge of the RAID anticoagulation dosing system is advantageous.
* Experience in anticoagulant care is beneficial but not a requirement.
* Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development.
