The 400-acre campus on the edge of the South Downs is an area of outstanding beauty. The Prep School is an integral part of the College, benefitting from the world class facilities and teaching that the College has; it also has its own buildings, playground, and outdoor creative classroom.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Seaford Prep as a Teaching Assistant. A rewarding role supporting our teachers and students, assisting Reception to Year 4 classes. The role will also involve training and responsibility to look after a Year 2 child with type 1 diabetes for just over one quarter of the time on a one-to-one basis.
Responsibilities
* Support teaching staff across Reception to Year 4 classes.
* Provide one-to-one care and support for a Year 2 child with type 1 diabetes for approximately one quarter of the role.
Qualifications and qualities
* You are patient, approachable and flexible, with a calm, proactive, and well organized work manner. Energetic and a team player who communicates well at all levels.
* Although the role does not require formal qualifications, a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
* A first aid qualification or experience is desirable but not essential.
