Paramount Personnel are recruiting for a rosette level sous chef, to join its client, an independently owned restaurant in the Falmouth, Cornwall area. With a great reputation across the South West, the successful sous chef will be joining a vastly experienced team, whilst working closely with Head Chef in running daily operations within a busy kitchen.
Working in a prestigious restaurant, with an outstanding reputation, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a team of chefs, contributing to a menu that celebrates local, seasonal produce and consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience.
Sous Chef responsibilities to include;
6. Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes.
7. Leading, motivating managing and training the kitchen team.
8. Assisting the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus, assisting with all aspects of kitchen management.
9. Stock control, ordering, dealing with suppliers and all aspects of kitchen health, hygiene and safety.
10. Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
The ideal sous chef will have a strong set of characteristics, including;
11. Proven experience in a rosette or Michelin kitchen, within a sous chef role.
12. Possess exceptional culinary skills and a keen eye for detail.
13. A natural leader, with a natural ability in progressing other junior chefs.
14. Thrives in a fast paced environment, whilst maintaining composure under pressure.
15. Understands the importance of impeccable hygiene and food safety standards.
