This role seeks a talented Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber to work within our community-based substance use services in the City of London and Hackney. The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend, with a strong focus on partnership working to support local community members in achieving their goals. You will be involved in opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxification, relapse prevention medication and supporting the wider Wellbeing Team with Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccinations. Additionally, you will work closely with mental health, physical health and social care services, and help create collaborative links that connect Turning Point more closely to external professionals and agencies.
Key Responsibilities
 * Provide community-based prescribing services as an NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber.
 * Deliver opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxification and relapse prevention medication.
 * Support the nursing team in Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccinations.
 * Collaborate with mental health, physical health and social care services to create a holistic approach to recovery.
 * Develop personal, flexible and realistic support packages for individuals.
 * Work closely with the wider Wellbeing Team and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
 * Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacy Prescriber with current UK professional registration.
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop tailored support packages.
 * Deep empathy, understanding and patience for people with diverse needs.
 * Experience working in substance use services or similar healthcare settings is highly desirable.
 * Current DBS check and willingness to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
