Head of Consultancy Services - Energy & Carbon
1-2 Days a month in Newcastle

PT Renewables is a fast‐growing management consultancy delivering sustainability and energy solutions to a global client base.
We're supporting their search for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Consultancy Services to lead, develop and scale their consultancy offering.
The Role
This is a hands‐on senior leadership position, combining strategic oversight with direct client delivery, team leadership and service development.
You'll be the driving force behind the consultancy function – setting direction, building capability and ensuring exceptional outcomes for clients.
* Lead and develop the internal consultancy team delivering services – this includes ESOS, SBTi, LCA, EPDs, TCFD, Carbon Footprinting (Scopes 1, 2 & 3) and sustainability training.
* Own and implement process improvements across upselling, cross‐selling, service delivery and client communications.
* Work closely with Marketing to bring consultancy expertise to life through webinars, case studies, thought leadership, articles and industry insights.
* Set, manage and track team targets, P&L, account retention and growth.
* Play an active role in the Senior Leadership Team, providing regular updates on performance, opportunities, success stories and priorities.
* Foster a strong, positive team culture through regular 1‐to‐1s, coaching and leadership of team leads.
* Oversee consultancy project workflows to ensure timely, high‐quality delivery.
* Lead client engagement for consultancy services, converting new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
About You
We're looking for a confident, driven leader with a strong consultancy background and a passion for sustainability.
This will suit someone with a strategic thinking mindset, commercial awareness, and enjoys being involved with both clients and delivery.
You'll bring
* Proven experience leading consultancy teams and complex client engagements.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing KPIs, P&L and account growth.
* Deep understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting and regulatory drivers.
* The ability to inspire, develop and retain high‐performing teams.
* A proactive, improvement‐focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and innovate.
Package
* Salary up to £70,000 – flex for the right candidate.
* Mostly remote role with 1‐2 days based in the Newcastle office.
