Qualified and experienced Senior Chemical Engineer
* A Chemical Engineering degree, as a minimum, is essential
* Relevant industrial manufacturing experience on a COMAH site is essential
* Development of new processes and improving existing ones is essential
* On-plant experience in commissioning and practical troubleshooting skills are essential
* Experience of DSEAR methodology is advantageous
* Experience of SIL and LOPA assessments is advantageous
* Relief system sizing & DIERS methodology experience is advantageous
In your role as Senior Chemical Engineer:
* Initiate, design, implement, and commission Plant Modification Proposals, including hazard assessments and HAZOPs.
* Determine the scope of hazard assessments, perform calculations, advise on testing programs, lead HAZOPs, revise designs, and maintain risk assessment records.
* Ensure all chemical engineering work complies with Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice.
* Liaise with Project Engineering to develop plant design, layout, costing, and proposals for approval.
* Serve as the Chemical Engineering expert on Process Improvement Groups and Project teams; advise Research Department on process development for new and existing processes.
* Advise Engineers, Customers, Contractors, and Consultants on technical matters related to design, safety, materials, and processing techniques.
* Lead designated projects, managing budgets, overall design, and ensuring completion within targets and operational performance standards.
* Organize design and commissioning activities and allocate resources to meet production budgets.
