Overview
The Acute Occupational Therapy Team at Wythenshawe Hospital are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, team player to undertake the role of Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Assistant. The post holder will work under the direction, guidance and supervision of the registered Occupational Therapists, to support the delivery of an effective Occupational Therapy service, early patient assessment and provide safe and timely discharges.

Responsibilities
* Work under the direction, guidance and supervision of the registered Occupational Therapists.
* Support the delivery of an effective Occupational Therapy service.
* Assist with early patient assessment and provide safe and timely discharges.
* Support Occupational Therapists in completing patient assessments.
* Order equipment and support community visits to support discharges.
* Converse with ward teams, professionals, patients and their family and/or carers.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic, motivated, team player.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence using IT equipment and telephone.
* Willingness to support community visits and discharge planning.
