A highly technical role that covers the end-to-end analytical processes from automated pipelines to reporting dashboards, the Visualisation & Automation role facilitates the ongoing build of an analytical reporting suite in Power BI to evaluate performance in near real time across the M&S Online domain. These suites serve the M&S Online function and our other partners within M&S; in-turn complementing deeper dive analytics and insight.
The role is heavily grounded in Customer - bringing together numerous domains of data into a central and easily consumable environment.. It gives the function a real time view of performance and allows for course correction from data led decisioning.
It supports the delivery of the vision set out by the Lead Visualisation analyst to bring our data to life. A technical role, experience with report building in Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and experience of building automated pipelines in SQL/PySpark is essential due to size and activity of our customer base.

What you will be doing
10. Analyse key metrics and trends to provide data-driven recommendations that support innovation and business growth.
11. Collaborate with the analytics team to shape and maintain digital data architecture, ensuring best practice, consistency, and clear KPI definitions.
12. Translate complex data into visually engaging insights and actionable recommendations that address key business questions.
13. Drive testing and optimisation initiatives — including multivariate experiments — to enhance site performance, conversion, and customer experience.
14. Champion data accessibility across the organisation by developing self-serve analytics tools, training teams, and enabling a data-informed culture.
Who you are
15. You will have a degree (or equivalent experience) in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
16. You will have demonstrable hands-on experience using Adobe Analytics (Omniture), with knowledge of implementation practices an advantage.
17. You will have the ability to process and interpret data from multiple sources with accuracy, structure, and attention to detail.
18. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate across teams.
19. You will have strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to learning, and ideally some experience with SQL.
