Join a team making a difference to young people across the South East
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate CAMHS Inpatient Case Manager to join our Hampshire, Sussex and Kent (HSK) CAMHS Provider Collaborative — a dynamic and supportive team leading the way in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care to young people accessing Tier 4 mental health services.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work across NHS and independent inpatient CAMHS settings, providing direct case management for young people and their families, and helping shape future pathways and provision across the region.
What we offer:
* A flexible base across Hampshire, Sussex, or Kent
* Regular clinical supervision, peer support, and development opportunities
* A collaborative, values-led team environment
* Opportunities to shape and influence specialist CAMHS services
* Fully funded apprenticeships (from GCSE to Master’s level)
* A Trust culture committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
About the role
As a Case Manager within the HSK CAMHS Provider Collaborative, you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating care for a defined caseload of young people in Tier 4 inpatient and alternative-to-admission services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversight and coordination of individual care pathways
* Supporting families and carers throughout the inpatient journey
* Collaborating with providers, clinicians, and commissioners to improve outcomes
* Contributing clinical insight to strategic service planning and future provision
* Maintaining high-quality, up-to-date case management records
* Participating in the duty rota and attending key clinical meetings
* Monitoring service quality and supporting performance improvement
You’ll need to be confident travelling across the HSK region to meet young people and attend provider sites, with flexibility on your base location depending on service need.
About you
We’re seeking a passionate professional who is committed to improving care for young people with complex mental health needs.
* Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, or other registered health/social care professional
* Significant senior-level experience in specialist CAMHS or inpatient services
* In-depth understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act, Children’s Act, safeguarding)
* Strong risk assessment and care coordination skills
* Experience supporting families and young people in complex pathways
* Excellent communication, organisation, and clinical leadership skills
* Knowledge of commissioning processes and national CAMHS policy
Why Sussex Partnership?
We’re a Trust that believes in putting people first — patients, families, and staff. You’ll be part of a team that is not only clinically excellent, but also supportive, forward-thinking, and committed to making real change.
We’re proud of our inclusive culture and want our workforce to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We particularly welcome applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities.

If you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people and help shape the future of inpatient CAMHS across the South East, we’d love to hear from you.
