From their Edinburgh office, they support clients across the UK, helping to shape projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, residential development, and more.
Right now, they're looking for a talented GIS Technician or Analyst to join the growing Edinburgh team. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their GIS career, working alongside experienced consultants while using an award-winning, in-house GIS platform to deliver high-impact data solutions.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting technical teams with spatial analysis and mapping across a wide range of planning and consenting projects.
* Use a bespoke GIS system to combine, visualise, interrogate, and interpret data from multiple sources.
* Producing clear, accurate outputs that help clients make informed decisions quickly and confidently.
* Take responsibility for your own tasks, while also contributing to team-based project delivery.
What we're looking for:
* A degree in GIS or a related subject (MSc is a plus, but not essential).
* Solid knowledge of GIS concepts and strong practical skills in data editing, analysis, and visualisation.
* Hands-on experience with ESRI software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, extensions, and online platforms).
* A methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage your time effectively under deadlines.
* A confident communicator who enjoys solving problems and working in a collaborative environment.
It would be great if you also have:
* Experience using GIS in a consultancy or client-facing setting.
* Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, including web and mobile applications.
* Knowledge of cloud-based or SQL-based data management systems.
* Experience working with environmental or ecological datasets.
