Overview
Production Associate role at Raytheon UK. This is an on-site position at the Livingston site (factory/manufacturing cell environment) involving production work in the aerospace and defence sector. The role includes on-the-job training at the in-house training school for the first 5 weeks and potential for future opportunities in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
* Soldering
* Mechanical and wiring assembly
* Follow all quality and health & safety guidance
* Follow instructions for technical tasks
* Kit preparation
* Bonding & coating
* Test assemblies using specialist equipment
* Use computer skills for any required admin tasks
* Successfully complete BPSS baseline background check if offered a role (permanent UK residency is required for the checks)
This role is on-site in a factory/lab/manufacturing cell environment using a range of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and a microscope.
Shift Details
Shifts: Day and Night Shift options available (please state preference during application). Training shifts will be similar times adjusted to the training schedule. After training, typical shift times are:
* Dayshift: Mon-Wed 07:30–17:18; Thu 07:30–17:06
* Nightshift: Mon-Wed 10:00–07:00; Thu 09:30–07:00
Note: Interview assessments are conducted at Glenrothes site. If based in West Lothian (Livingston and surrounding areas), be prepared to travel to Glenrothes for assessment and training. Interviews are scheduled for August/September; assessments do not take place on a Friday.
Candidate Assessment
* Eye test (including colour vision)
* Skills test following instructions and health & safety guidance
* Interview with examples of relevant skills and experience
* Pass all assessments on the day is essential
During the 3.5-hour interview assessment, candidates will complete the tasks above. This role is suitable for candidates with a technical background, those who have held similar Production Operator roles, or with factory/manufacturing/engineering experience. Other transferable skills will also be considered. This role is also suitable for higher education graduates starting a career in manufacturing or mechanical/electronic production.
