The role
An established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Maidstone is looking to recruit a Personal or Mixed Tax Senior to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional seeking a varied role within a friendly and supportive environment. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including directors, sole traders, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals and property investors. Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients from onboarding through to completion Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns Advising clients on personal tax planning opportunities, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters Handling HMRC correspondence and enquiries Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all compliance work is completed accurately and on time Building and maintaining strong client relationships Supporting junior team members where appropriate Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients About You Previous experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice Strong knowledge of UK personal tax compliance Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines ATT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience would be advantageous Experience of corporate tax compliance would be beneficial but is not essential What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Flexible and supportive working environment Exposure to a broad and varied client base Genuine opportunities for career progression and development Friendly, collaborative team culture within a well-established independent practice This role would suit an experienced Personal Tax Senior looking to join a progressive firm where they can further develop their career and play an important role in delivering an excellent client service.
