What is the job role?
Are you an experienced Electrical Manager looking for a new challenge or are you a Lead Electrical Engineer or an Electrician looking for that next step up the ladder?
We are searching for an Electrical Manager to join our team at Gael Force Engineering, based in Inverness.
What we are looking for:
* Manage all aspects of the electrical department on a day-to-day basis to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the correct quality standard.
* Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects. Readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements.
* Evaluate and continually improve the systems and processes used by the department to effectively meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
* Ensure your team have the training, tools and material required to do their duties.
* Coordination of finishing sub-contractors including, but not restricted to, joiners, plumbers an contracting electricians as required.
* Ensure health and safety, quality and environmental compliance and standards are maintained.
* To carry out regular performance and development reviews effectively, to ensure that relevant training needs are implemented and evaluated.
* Ensure all workshop and site operations within your area of responsibility are carried out in a manner ensuring the safety of staff and any other persons who may be affected by our work, maintaining regulatory compliance.
* Assist the Group Operations Director, Commercial Director and Project Managers in monitoring progress against the overall production programme.
* Assist in electrical aspects of small works.
* Produce method statements and risk assessments as required.
* Work to all relevant Company Policies and Procedures.
What you’ll need:
* Previous experience as an Electrical Manager/ Electrician or proven competency through experience in similar roles.
* Technically and commercially minded individual who has attention to detail.
* Knowledge and experience of running electrical operations.
* The ability to read electrical and general assembly drawings.
* Understanding of a variety electrical systems i.e. 440v, 220v, 24v and 12v.
* Familiar with electrical engineering and installation standards including IEC, IEEE, API, etc.
* Experience of co-ordinating contract works is required.
* Competent in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Project, etc.
* Electrical related degree.
* The ability to design electrical circuits and create electrical drawings.
