As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our clients operations, carrying out take-offs, and tenders for a range of clients. Prior experience in an estimating role along with familiarity with industry standards essential along with the desire to succeed, willingness to learn and build a long term career within an exceptional and innovative business.
Responsibilities:
* Predominantly Knowledge of Aluminium Fabrication processes, Aluminium Rainscreen experience and knowledge/experience working with Facades or Aluminium Cladding products.
* Experience of Engineering estimating would also be an advantage as we move into new markets/sectors.
* Completion of budget and full quotations on behalf of clients.
* An understanding of architectural, and other specialist drawings, plans and specifications to provide take offs and quotations.
* Perform accurate project take–offs to the required level of detail utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.
* Establishing connections with various subcontractors, and specialists to allow smooth collaboration from enquiry to contract awarded.
* Proactively chasing subcontractors, and quotations to advance the tendering process.
* Executing assigned estimating tasks with precision and attention to detail.
* Handling incoming telephone calls, managing messages or redirections as required maintaining clear communication.
* Working closely with your line Manager
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Cost Saving Solutions: Proactively identify potential innovative cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities to present to clients, enhancing competitiveness and maximizing project profitability.
* Keep an up-to-date log of current enquires and work to a logical grading system to prioritise work.
* Validate bulk orders based on quotations.
* Experience of CRM Systems preferred.
Skills:
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
* Proficient in using cost estimating software and tools
* Knowledge of construction industry, fabrication methods, materials, and industry standards. Engineering methods would also be an advantage as we move into new markets.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
