Overview
NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an HMI Engineer for our client, who are a global, industry-leader in power technology. Location: Lincoln. Duration: 6-month initial contract (long-term work).
Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and test standardised HMI builds on Windows endpoints, Servers, and Clients, including engineering software such as:
o AVEVA Intouch
o FactoryTalk Optix
o Simatic PCS7
o WinCC
* Implement cybersecurity measures such as Windows hardening, endpoint security, whitelisting, and secure backups.
* Configure, develop, and test networking components such as industrial firewalls and managed switches.
* Develop and maintain work instruction documentation for build configurations.
* Create and maintain information databases.
* Collaborate and support the Project Execution team to enhance quality and on-time delivery.
* Identify and rectify problems found during testing of software/hardware and support the Field Service team during commissioning of equipment/software.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified or equivalent professional accreditation or recognition in an engineering discipline preferably relating to the fields of Computer Science, Control Systems, Cybersecurity
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience working with industrial controls system applications such as:
o Rockwell/Allen Bradley Control Logix
o Siemens PCS7 Control Systems
o AVEVA Intouch
o Factory Talk Optix
* Familiarity with industrial networks and cyber security standards, frameworks, and regulations
o IEC-62443
o NCSC CAF
o EU Cyber Resilience Act
* Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
* Practitioner of a Systems Engineering approach to product improvement is highly desirable.
