We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a progressive and friendly company as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
This is a full time role in Dover, working 40 hours a week, you will be paid between £26, to £27, depending on experience.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and effective receivables management. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will apply strong attention to detail, customer focus, and sound accounting principles to support business operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create and issue customer invoices in line with individual requirements and strict deadlines
2. Upload invoices to customer portals as required
3. Monitor customer payments and escalate overdue balances to management when necessary
4. Communicate with sales and operations teams via email and phone to resolve billing and payment queries
5. Assist in improving processes and supporting automation initiatives to enhance efficiency
6. Monitor and manage fuel surcharges
7. Support annual and ad-hoc audit requests
8. Process customer credit requests by collecting required financial information, including credit reports and references
9. Forward completed credit documentation to the Credit Manager in accordance with Credit Department policies
10. Assist the allocation team by providing accurate allocation details
11. Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
12. Strong mathematical and numerical skills
13. Customer service experience preferred
14. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
15. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
