Are you a passionate and experienced childcare professional ready to lead a vibrant, community-focused setting? Do you want to make a real difference in children’s lives while working for an award-winning charity that values inclusion and excellence?

At Westbank, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Childcare Manager to lead our Kidzone provision – a well-established, Ofsted-registered Nursery, Pre-School, After School and Holiday Club catering for children aged 0–12 years.

What you will be doing:

1. Managing day-to-day operations of our bustling Kidzone setting.
2. Leading, inspiring and developing a dedicated team of childcare professionals.
3. Ensuring our provision is safe, inclusive and aligned with Ofsted and EYFS standards.
4. Overseeing budgets, admin, safeguarding, and quality standards.
5. Driving the growth and development of the service through effective planning and marketing.

What we are looking for:

We will be shortlisting on the following criteria so please use the supporting statement to evidence how you meet these:

6. Childcare qualification or NVQ in Play work (Level 3) or above;
7. Experience managing a team in a childcare setting;
8. Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills;
9. A hands-on, positive and proactive approach to children’s care and development;
10. Previous experience of caring for, or working with, children aged 0-12;
11. Knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding and early years frameworks.
12. Understanding of principles of confidentiality and equal opportunities;
13. Experience of using MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
