* Title: Bid Manager (6 month FTC, possibility to extend)
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (35 hours per week)

Role Overview
The bids team secures new business and collaborates across the firm’s divisions – business services, healthcare, and marine – to produce high‑quality responses to opportunities of all sizes. Working in a fast‑paced environment, the team drives new and existing client wins.
Key Responsibilities
* Project manage tenders from initial assessment – including bid/no‑bid qualification – to drafting, submission, team preparation for presentations, and post‑submission feedback and reporting.
* Identify winning themes that convey an understanding of client requirements and differentiate our offering from competitors.
* Generate written responses and marketing materials that meet a high standard, are compelling, clear, and compliant.
* Develop and maintain a library of precedent text for tenders, capturing all deal/transaction information for future bids.
* Manage internal stakeholders throughout the tender process.
* Research and establish procurement cycles and engage with procurement professionals within key target and client organisations to contribute to the firm’s sales pipeline.
* Provide input to lessons‑learnt processes from previous submissions.
* Take responsibility for additional projects directed by the Head of Bids and Proposals.
What We’re Looking For
* Prior experience in tender management and bid writing.
* Experience with private and public sector tender opportunities, ideally in the health sector.
* Experience working in professional services – specifically legal services.
* Proven ability to write concise, high‑quality bid responses based on highly technical information.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in creative writing, English, or marketing.
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Exceptional project management skills.
* Excellent and engaging communication skills.
* Advanced IT skills across MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to deliver under pressure, meet deadlines, and work proactively with independent initiative.
Additional Beneficial Skills
* Understanding of layout and graphics; knowledge of InDesign is advantageous.
* APMP Foundation Certification or strong understanding of proposal best practice.
