A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Bedford is seeking an experienced and motivated KS1 teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025. The initial commitment is for one term, with strong potential for extension.
This school places a strong focus on early learning, phonics, and child-centred teaching, supported by a committed leadership team and a warm, inclusive ethos. Staff are encouraged to share ideas, collaborate, and develop professionally in a supportive environment.
You’ll take on full class responsibility in KS1 (year group to be confirmed), helping to lay solid foundations in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet the needs of all learners
* Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
* Track and assess pupil progress in line with KS1 standards
* Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
* Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing in line with school policies
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Strong understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A passion for making learning exciting and accessible for young children
