About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Wolverhampton. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and nurture students’ talents in drama and performing arts, fostering their confidence, creativity and communication skills.
Role Responsibilites:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students across various key stages.
* Develop and implement schemes of work that meet the national curriculum and school standards.
* Encourage student participation and enthusiasm in both curriculum and extracurricular drama activities.
* Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student wellbeing and creativity.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the wider arts curriculum and school events.
* Manage resources and maintain the drama studio or performance spaces.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching drama at secondary level.
* Strong knowledge of drama education and various theatrical techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
* Creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student development.
* Experience organising school productions or performances is desirable.
* Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school community.
