Salary: £27,269 - £31,067 (pro rata £15,477 - £17,632)

In 2021, the UK Government introduced the Environment Act, establishing a new framework for environmental protection, including the requirement for responsible authorities to produce a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). The LNRS aims to compile existing environmental data and collaborate with local partners to develop a strategy outlining goals and expected outcomes. The Nature Recovery Technician will assist in completing the Herefordshire LNRS and participate in its implementation phase. Your main duties will include:
* Providing technical support to the Local Nature Recovery Officer, Project Team, and project partners.
* Preparing and presenting reports, briefings, and communications to stakeholders and funders.
* Supporting consultation activities, including landowner-stakeholder liaison and communication outcomes.
* Updating GIS-based records by analyzing existing data, liaising with partners for current information, and conducting site visits and surveys for new data collection.
* Collaborating with the Steering Group and project partners to share knowledge on local and national issues.
